Once you have it in that form, you just read off the values of h and k

For instance, if you had y = 2(x-3)^2 + 5, then h = 3 and k = 5. So the vertex is (h,k) = (3,5)<span />

y-k=a(x-h)^2

2. y = -3 ( x + 3 )² - 6

    y = - 3 ( x - (-3) )² + ( -6) then vertex of the function is ( -3 , -6 )
