Answer:

The correct answer is A. The main goal of the National Liberation Front, or Viet Cong, was to overthrow South Vietnam's government.

Explanation:

The National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, also referred to as Viet Cong, was a Vietnamese armed force of nationalist and communist inspiration.

Between 1955 and 1975 it gathered opponents of the Ngo Dinh Diem's South Vietnamese regime, including former Viet Minheligue who led the struggle for independence from 1945 to 1954 during the First Indochina War. The FNL fought for reunification of Vietnam under a Communist regime, during the Vietnam War.

The FNL was born on December 29, 1960, urging all Vietnamese to join him to oppose the Ngo Dinh Diem regime and achieve the independence and unity of Vietnam, under the banner of the HoChi Minh Communist regime.
