Answer:

Bivalve- Wedge shaped foot

Snail- Large and flat foot

Cephalopod- Foot is modified into siphon.

Explanation:

Molluscs are predominantly marine animals with a soft body,however,they are known to inhibit fresh water as well as terrestrial habitat.

They possess a *muscular foot*,which is used for *locomotion and anchorage*,they vary in shape and function depending on the type of mollusc.

MODIFICATION OF FOOT IN MOLLUSCS:

Bivalve- Foot is usually wedge shaped

Snail- Foot is large and flat

Cephalopod: Foot is modified int a siphon( a tube-like organ)

ADAPTATIONS OF FOOT IN MOLLUSCS

1)Bivalves have pointed retractable foot(wedge foot) that protrudes from the wheel and is adapted for *moving or burrowing*.

2)Snail have a mucus-laden muscular foot adaptation,that reflexes and contracts allowing movement(*crawling*) in water and terrestrial habitats

3)The foot of cephalopod is adapted for *moving* about by a kind of jet propulsion in water.

How do the heart and lungs work together
ira [324]

Answer:

The right side of your heart receives oxygen-poor blood from your veins and pumps it to your lungs, where it picks up oxygen and gets rid of carbon dioxide. The left side of your heart receives oxygen-rich blood from your lungs and pumps it through your arteries to the rest of your body.

Explanation:

The heart and lungs work together to make sure the body has the oxygen-rich blood it needs to function properly. The Pulmonary Loop The right side of the heart picks up the oxygen-poor blood from the body and moves it to the lungs for cleaning and re-oxygenating.

Calculate the kinetic energy of a 4 kg object moving at 10 m/s.
Elanso [62]

Answer:

K.E = 200J

Explanation:

  • Kinetic Energy = \frac{1}{2}mv^{2}

here m = mass and v = velocity of moving object

where m = 4kg and v =10m/s

=> K.E = 1/2(4*10^2)

=> K.E = 1/2(4*100)

=> K.E = 400/2

=> K.E = 200J
