The correct answer is B. To reflect Marian's emotional state as she gets away from the old women. A Visit oF Charity ~ A Classic American Short Story by Eudora Welty (1909-2001). The title "A Visit of Charity" is ironic. Charity means kindness and sympathy towards others. But there is no charity from Marian's, the nurse's, the two old ladies, and the whole society's point of view. There cannot be charity when the old ladies are isolated from the society.

Answer:

Welty chooses to use short sentences and a quick pace in order to make the ending of "A Visit to Charity" feel frenzied and panicked To reflect Marian's emotional state as she gets away from the old women

Explanation:

There are a lot of twists and shocking moments through the story that confuses and trigger different feelings and mental states on Marian, she looks for a personal benefit from the beginning, when she is supposed to have an act of charity towards the old ladies, at the end Marian is shocked, and perhaps a bit scared not precisely moved by the old ladies as she fastly leaves the place.

___ seems to forget that there are things to be done before he can graduate.<br> is she or he
lesya692 [45]
You would use "he" here because at a later part we encounter "he can graduate" which shows that the doer of the action is a male and therefore requires "he" to be used.
