Answer:

Feudalism conventionally denotes the type of society and the political system originating in western and central Europe and dominant there during the greater part of the Middle Ages. However, the term is also applied to other societies and systems of government with similar characteristics, in antiquity and in modern times; in the Marxist usage it refers to a type of society and economy characterized by serfdom, generally succeeding the economic systems based on slavery and preceding capitalism.

Match the events that contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union with the years in which they took place.
alexandr1967 [171]

Here are your matches for the events shown, listed by year:

1948

 • Yugoslavia parted ways with the Soviet Union because of political differences.

1956

 • Workers in Poland won higher wages after an uprising.

1961

 • Military forces began construction of the Berlin Wall.

1968

 • The Soviet Union invaded Czechoslovakia and reversed its economic reforms.

I'll provide a few more details on that last item, regarding Czechoslovakia. In January, 1968, the new leader in Czechoslovakia, Alexander Dubcek, launched the "Prague Spring" (as it became known). He sought to give communism "a human face," as he termed it, introducing many political and economic reforms. By August, the USSR responded by sending in 600,000 troops, and again those Soviet tanks. The revolution was put down.

But the Soviet Union's grip in Eastern Europe weakened over the next two decades. By 1989, a number of Eastern European nations began to upend the communist governments that had held control in their countries. The Berlin Wall was torn down during that time also.

Who was the first Tudor king? How many times was King Henry VIII married? Why did Henry VIII want a divorce from Catherine of Ar
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

The Tudor dynasty was the line of kings and queens of England ruled from 1485 until 1603.

Explanation:

The dynasty started with Henry Tudor after he defeated Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field (the Wars of the Roses). Henry Tudor became King Henry VII of England.

Henry VIII married six times. The political unification and need for a healthy male heir drove him to marry several times.

Henry VIII wanted a divorce from Catherine of Aragon because as his first wife, she was not able to give him a son which he wanted for his future heir to the England throne.

The Act of Supremacy declared Henry VIII the head of the Church of England.

Anne of Cleves was a German princess whom Henry married for political reasons but divorced soon after.

Catherine Howard and Anne Boleyn were two wives beheaded by Henry VIII accused of taking lovers.
