Hey there! I'm happy to help!

Let's call the use the variables A and B to represent the number of pounds used for those types of coffee and set up a system of equations below to solve.

4.20A+5.50B=864.60

B=4A

Let's replace B in the first equation with 4A.

4.20A+5.50(4A)=864.60

Undo the parentheses.

4.20A+22A=864.60

Combine like terms.

26.2A=864.6

Divide both sides by 26.2

A=33

Therefore 33 pounds of type A coffee were used in this month's blend at Rachel's Coffee Shop.

Have a wonderful day! :D

FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

  • cylinder — 90π in³
  • pyramid — 37 1/3 in³
  • cone — 12.5π in³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cylinder is given by ...

  V = Bh . . . . . where B is the base area and h is the height

The volume of a pyramid or cone is given by ...

  V = (1/3)Bh . . . . . where B is the base area and h is the height

The area of a square of side length s is ...

  A = s²

The area of a circle of radius r is ...

  A = πr²

___

Using these formulas, the volumes of these objects are ...

  cylinder: (9π in²)(10 in) = 90π in³

  square pyramid: (1/3)(4 in)²(7 in) = 37 1/3 in³

  cone: (1/3)(π(2.5 in)²)(6 in) = 12.5π in³ . . . . slightly larger than the pyramid

Find the differential dy for y =cos(pix) and evaluate it x=1/3 and dx=-.02 and round your results to 3 decimal places.
finlep [7]
Dy / dx = - Pi sin (Pix), so dy = - Pi sin (Pix) dx, for x = 1/3, and dx = -0.2
we get dy = - Pi x sin Pi/3 x (-0.2) = 3.14 x 0.2 x 0.86=0.543
