It's an odd function, to check: put -x in place of X

j(x)= 1/x^3

j(-x)=-1/x^3

condition for odd function:
f(-x)=-f(x)

which is satisfied, hence it is an odd function

Simplify the expression ?
melomori [17]

Answer:

The answer is cscx(cscx - 1) ⇒ the second answer

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ csc²x = cot²x + 1

∴ \frac{cot^{2}x+1-1 }{1+sinx}=\frac{cot^{2}x }{1+sinx}

Multiply the fraction by its conjugate 1 - sinx (up and down)

∴ \frac{cot^{2}x }{1+sinx}*\frac{1-sinx}{1-sinx}=\frac{cot^{2}x(1-sinx) }{1-sin^{2}x}

∵ 1 - sin²x = cox²x

∴ \frac{cot^{2}x(1-sinx) }{cos^{2}x }

∵ cot²x = cos²x/sin²x

∴ \frac{1-sinx}{sin^{x}}=\frac{1}{sin^{2}x}-\frac{sinx}{sin^{2}x}=csc^{2}x-cscx

Take cscx as a common factor

∴ cscx(cscx - 1)

If the book fair had a sale where 6 books were $20.46 then if you wanted 7 books how much money would you need
lianna [129]

Answer:

If you wanted to buy 7 books you would need $23.87.

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide the total of the six books by their price, ($20.46/6), you would get that the individual price of each book is $3.41. Lastly, you multiply that number by 7 because that's how many books you need (7 x $3.41). You end up with $23.87

Parallelogram Q T S R is shown. Sides Q T and R S are parallel, and sides Q R and T S are parallel. Angle Q is (9 x minus 6) deg
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

m<Q = 93 degrees

m<R = 87 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following angles;

m<Q = 9x-6

m<R = 8x-1

Looking at Devin's work, we will see that he the sum of both angles is 180 degrees

Hence m<Q + m<R = 180

9x - 6 + 8x - 1 = 180

9x+8x-6-1 = 180

17x - 7 = 180

17x = 180 + 7

17x = 187

x = 187/17

x = 11

Get m<Q

m<Q = 9x - 6

m<Q = 9(11) - 6

m<Q = 99 - 6

m<Q = 93 degrees

Get m<R

m<R = 180 - m<Q

m<R = 180 - 93

m<R = 87degrees
