Answer:

According to the author, Wilson's main motivation in creating the Fourteen Points was a vision for world peace. The author considers the Fourteen Points idealistic because they were based on the principles of peace and justice, rather than immediate gains for the United States or its allies. The Fourteen Points included many proposals meant to make peace terms fair to all countries, strong or weak: free trade, arms reductions, openness in international agreements, and colonial independence.

1. Explain why the Fourteen Points still stand as the most powerful expression of idealism strain in the United States.

-Wilson's Fourteen Points is still the most powerful expression of idealism because it aims the ultimate idealistic goal for every Nation, and that is to "vindicate the principles of peace and justice in the world". It expresses the actualization of peace and justice which is a very far along process. And that being the number one vision stated in the Fourteen Points, it still speaks strongly even in modern times how the government undergo changes, political strife and war in an ultimate goal of achieving true peace and justice not just a new balance of power.

2. Why this document expresses idealism

-The Fourteen Points is an visualizes a perfect vision. It was written as a speech in pursuit of true peace and justice. It is idealistic because the statements expressed in the document is still in the process or has yet to be achieved.

When early Spanish explorers came in the 1500's, they found people who called themselves the Teyas and the Escanjaques. Perhaps the people discussed here also used these names several hundred years earlier. Archeologists believe the Teyas and Escanjaques are descendants of the people discussed on these pages. They are all believed to have been Caddoan speakers.

How did Felix respond to the Jews' charge against Paul? Use complete sentences.
PtichkaEL [24]

Felix responded to the Jews' charge against Paul by:

 • Jailing Paul after he refused to bribe his way to freedom

According to the events that occurred in the book of Acts 19:24-40, the Jews in Ephesus made an accusation against Apostle Paul for sedition against their goddess and business.

They claimed that Paul had come to make people stop patronising their arts and crafts because of the statements he made while preaching to them. He mentioned that their goddess Diana was false and only promoted promiscuity and immorality and worshipping her was idolatry.

The Jews conspired to kill Paul until governor Felix heard word and sent a battalion of soldiers to rescue him from their hands. When Felix learnt that Paul was a citizen of Rome, he was desperate to let him go, but he wanted a bribe from Paul which he was not ready to give.

As a result of this, Felix put him in jail. Therefore, this can be said to be the response of Felix to the charge brought against him by the Jews.
