Answer:

  • Students doing poorly in courses often consider dropping the courses. Many universities will offer a refund if the student drops a course before a deadline.   - True
  • Prior to the deadline, students should not take this refund option into account when deciding to drop the course. - False

Explanation:

Universities set deadlines for students to drop out of courses. In that period it is determined whether the student will receive a full or partial refund for the amount he / she paid for the course.  When the student wishes to withdraw from the course and is considering receiving refund, that student must withdraw from the course before the deadline established by the university. If the student wishes to withdraw from the course after the deadline given by the university, refund should not be considered.

Politically, how was early Sumerian society organized? How did that affect society?
lbvjy [14]
Apparently Sumerian society was thought to be comprised of four social classes: Nobles, commoners, clients and slaves. The Nobles, who were at the top of Sumerian society, consisted of priests, warriors, and of course, the ruling family. Commoners were your average citizen of Sumer at the time. They were the farmers, and craftsmen, and blacksmiths (very, very crude form of blacksmithing). Clients and slaves were the lowest. The slaves had no rights whatsoever. Clients, however could do more and even buy their freedom.
This affected society by trying to create a perfect utopia it caused jealousy towards the higher class and bitterness to others, causing many revolts and outbreaks. The fact the laws were quiet strict, helped fuel that anger and hatred.
