AnnyKZ [126]

one challenge was establishing a better government since the one running during the American revolution was really weak (they were called the articles of confederation)

another one was establishing balence in the new republic, everyone just won the battle from a king; so why have another one? This was a challenge and eventually came to the solution of having a president. They also established the House of Representatives and the senate House So the president wouldn’t have much power.

sashaice [31]
In many ways, the War of 1812 was indeed a "second revolution" because once again the Americans were up against the British, and once again they "won". This placed them with far more economic independence and pride in the nation. It gave them the respect of the world, which made for better foreign relations.
