Answer: 15.0 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points A (a,b) and B (c,d) is given by :-

AB=\sqrt{(d-b)^2+(c-a)^2}

Given points :  C=(7 -4) and D=(-8,-5)

Now, the distance between two points C=(7 -4) and D=(-8,-5) will be :-

CD=\sqrt{(-5-(-4))^2+(-8-7)^2}\\\\\Rightarrow\ CD=\sqrt{(-5+4)^2+(-15)^2}\\\\\Rightarrow\ CD=\sqrt{(-1)^2+(-15)^2}\\\\\Rightarrow\ CD=\sqrt{1+225}\\\\\Rightarrow\ CD=\sqrt{226}=15.0332963784approx15.0

Hence, the distance between C=(7 -4) and D=(-8,-5) is CD = 15.0 units.

Use either the distance formula or the Pythagorean Theorem.  i suggest you plot the 2 given points and draw the line segment CD connecting these points.

What is the horiz. distance between the 2 points?  The vertical distance?

If you'd square the horiz. distance and also square the vertical distance, and then add these two squares together, and finally take the positive square root of this sum, you'll have the distance cd.  Round it off to the nearest tenth.

if you buy 8 chocolate bars at the sale price of .61 cents how many chocolate bars could you have purchased at the regular price
Dahasolnce [82]

If you can buy [email protected] you must have at least 8(61)=488 cents

We get 488/75 = 6.50666...  So at 75 cents a pop, you can buy 6 and have some change left over.

Looking at the question. you'll know that it's a subtraction question so that eliminates C and D. Now look at A and B. It says that 33 stamps were used. So that means the answer is not a negative expression. (B) Is Eliminated.
