Yup that’s true. They died due to disease, being killed and many other reasons.
Ngo Dinh Diem was a Vietnamese president from 1955 to 1963, in 1963 he was assassinated with his brother Ngo Dinh Nhu.

True, post WW2 Japans economy boomed and especially in that time they became a world economic power and today they are still one of the strongest economies in Asia.
