Answer:

He drove for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and started driving at 12:45pm

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly, you deduct 60 and 90. That means that he has been driving one hour, then the remainder is 30, which means that at the speed of 60mph he traveled that much in half an hour. Then you add the 15 more minutes to the time of the meeting (don't let this confuse you, don't try to add the 15 more minutes to the time that he traveled, but to the end time). That means that he drove for a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Now you just move the clock back from 2:15 pm for 1 hour and 30 minutes. That means that he started driving at 12:45 pm

(this confused me so much and I don't know why, but I hope I helped)

Please help find the interest?!
Vaselesa [24]

You want to calculate the interest on $300 at 9% interest per year after 4 month(s).  The formula we'll use for this is the simple interest formula, or:

Where:

P is the principal amount, $300.00.

r is the interest rate, 9% per year, or in decimal form, 9/100=0.09.

t is the time involved, 4....month(s) time periods.

Since your interest rate is "per year" and you gave your time interval in "month(s)" we need to convert your time interval into "year" as well.

Do this by dividing your time, 4- month(s), by 12, since there's 12 months in 1 year.

So, t is 0.333333....year time periods.

To find the simple interest, we multiply 300 × 0.09 × 0.333333 to get that:

The interest is: $9.00

Usually now, the interest is added onto the principal to figure some new amount after 4 month(s),

or 300.00 + 9.00 = 309.00. For example:

If you borrowed the $300.00, you would now owe $309.00

If you loaned someone $300.00, you would now be due $309.00

If owned something, like a $300.00 bond, it would be worth $309.00 now.

A physical education teacher plans to divide the seventh graders at Wilson middle school into teams of equal size for a year-end
serg [7]

Answer:

• It is possible to divide the seventh graders into teams of equal sizes.

,

• 13 students should be on each team.

Explanation:

The seventh grade of Wilson consists of three classes; one with 28 students, one with 29, and one with 34. Therefore, the total number of students in seventh grade is:

\text{Total}=28+29+34=91

He wants each team to have between 4 and 8 students.

\begin{gathered} \frac{91}{4}\approx22.75 \\ \frac{91}{5}\approx18.2 \\ \frac{91}{6}\approx15.2 \\ \frac{91}{7}\approx13 \\ \frac{91}{8}\approx11.4 \end{gathered}

Therefore:

• It is possible to divide the seventh graders into teams of equal sizes.

,

• 13 students should be on each team.

Answer:

\sqrt{74}, or approximately 8.6

Step-by-step explanation:

By creating a right triangle as shown, we see that the given line is the hypotenuse of a right triangle with legs of lengths 5 and 7. By the Pythagorean Theorem, the length of the line is \sqrt{5^2+7^2}=\sqrt{74}.

In a sample of 62 cups, the average diameter was found to be 3.07in. with a standard deviation of 0.21. Give a point estimate fo
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

Population standard deviation (σ) = 0.3 in

Step-by-step explanation:

Sample mean = 3.07 in

Sample standard deviation (s) = 0.21 in

Sample size (n) = 62 cups

Population standard deviation (σ) = ?

The point estimate for the population standard deviation is given by sample standard deviation divided by the square root of the sample size:

\sigma = \frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}\\\sigma = \frac{0.21}{\sqrt{62}}\\\sigma = 0.03\ in
