However, he is finding it difficult to do so because of his mother's suitors. As part of his coming-of-age journey, Telemachus travels to Pylos and Sparta. As he is getting ready, Athena visits him. The goddess tells him that his trip will be fruitful, but she also helps him get a boat and a crew.
