Hi, "Do not Go Gentle into That Good Night" by Dylan Thomas is the only one of these that I am familiar with. Its a rlly good poem actually, its about World War I and the soldiers that fought in it, so in the poem Thomas is talking to the soldiers and basically telling them not to die and let go of life if they get injured, so it means to press on to live as long as you can in the face of death, even if it means suffering. Its also a letter to his dead father who died fighting. If you read it you might understand a little better:) Hope I helped.
Incarceration rates have risen mainly because states are sending a much larger share of offenders to prison and keeping them there longer — two factors under policymakers' direct control. Reforms to reduce prison populations will need to target these two areas.
