Answer:

Hard bop

Explanation:

Hard Bop can be described as either an extension of bebop or a revolt against cool jazz, a style of music known as hard bop developed in the 1950s. This style also ignored bebop's technically demanding melodies, but did so without abandoning it. the intensity. He did this by maintaining bebop's rhythmic pulse and at the same time including a healthy dose of blues and gospel music. Blakey Art and The Jazz Messengers were, for decades, the best known exponent of this style. Many musicians were raised at the so-called “Blakey University”. Blakey's early groups included pianist Horace Silver, trumpeter Clifford Brown and saxophonist Lou Donaldson. Clifford Brown also shared leadership of a group with Max Roach that is considered one of the best quintets in jazz history. Several albums from these groups are currently on sale and all are recommended. Miles Davis also recorded several albums in this style during the early 1950s. There were also several groups led by, or attended by, organists who came from this school, with even more influence from blues and gospel music. Organist Jimmy Smith and tenor saxophon Stanley Turrentine were well-known musicians of this genre.
