The other discussion participant is very bland and open-ended with how she answers. She is not involved at all in the conversation and is just answering with simple answers to make it seem like she actually knows what she is talking about. This causes the conversation to be one-sided.

Susan: I won. Of course I would win, I always win!

Jimmy: But wait, I wasn’t finished. I disagree with the idea that politicians needing to have a certain educational degree.

Susan: Oh my, look at the other team! They are a wreck.

Jimmy: I was explaining that although we agree that elected officials should be able to read at a higher level, we disagree on the law that requires a certain level of education.

Susan: Ok sure, whatever.

Jimmy is a better participant in the discussion. Not only does Susan cut Jimmy off, but she is rude to the other team. Both are unacceptable in a group discussion, Jimmy maintained a professional, polite manner the whole way through, even when he was put under pressure by Susan's rudeness.
