First off find a common denominator between 4 and 8 (8). So change 3/4 to 6/8 since 4x2=8.( multiply 3x2) Then you just add the numerators. Which would be 7/8 and don't foeget to add the whole numbers(5)! 5 7/8 would be your answer

First you convert the fractions into improper fractions to make adding simpler by multiplying the denominator by the whole number and then adding that to the numerator.
3 3/4 = 15/4 and 2 1/8 = 17/8

Next, you change 15/4 into 30/8 so that you could add the fractions together. (The denominators have to be the same)

Then you just add the numerators: 30/8 + 17/8 = 47/8 = 5 7/8

Answer: 5 7/8 pounds in total

Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

1/20, 1/8, 15%, 0.78

Step-by-step explanation:

Order from least to greatest: 1/8, 0.78, 15%, 1/20

1)Convert all into decimals to make it easier, this can be done with a simple look up of a conversion calculator!

1/8 = .125

15% = .15

1/20 = .05

0.78 = 0.78 (duh)

Then simply put them in order. Hope this was clear!
