Cube root (6.4 * 10^10)

Mathematics
1 answer:
slava [35]3 years ago
7 0
Property of exponents: \sqrt{xy}= \sqrt{x} times \sqrt{y} so
\sqrt[3]{6.4 times 10^{10}}=  \sqrt[3]{6.4} times  \sqrt[3]{10^10}
exponents
3rd root of 10^10
property of expoentns
x^n times x^m=x^(n+m)
so
3rd root of x^3=x so
3rd root of 10^10=10^3 times [/tex] \sqrt[3]{10^10} [/tex]

then you have \sqrt[3]{6.4} times  \sqrt[3]{10} times 10^{3}
then multiply \sqrt[3]{6.4} times  \sqrt[3]{10} together and get \sqrt[3]{64}
and we know thatn 64=4^3 so \sqrt[3]{64}=4
so the answer is 10^3 times 4 or 4 times 1000 or 4000
the answer is 4000

another way to do it is multiply it out inside and get 64,000,000,000
then factor, 4000^3=64,000,000,000
then cube root
4000

the asnwer is 4000

uysha [10]

Answer:

3 30 page printers, 10 70 page printers

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y = 13

40x+70y = 820

Solving for y in first equation gives: y = 13 - x

Plug into second equation: 40x + 70(13 - x) = 820

40x + 910 - 70x = 820

-30 x = -90

x = 3

Plug into original equation: 3 + y = 13

y must = 10.

So, the company owns 3 thirty page presses, and 10 70 page presses,

How long is the minute hand on a clock whose tip travels 15 cm from 1:15 to 1:30 to the nearest tenth?
AURORKA [14]
We can model the trip of the clock hand as shown in the picture below:

The clock hand is of the same length, 'x' and it forms a right-angle triangle from 1:15 to 1:30

We can use the Pythagoras theorem to find the length of the minute hand

x^2+x^2=15^2
2x^2=225
x^2= \frac{225}{2}
x^2=112.5
x= \sqrt{112.5}
x=10.6

Answer : 10.6 (to the nearest tenth)
