How climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity today?
eduard

Answer: Increase and continued adverse effects.

Explanation:

Climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity today because it has led and is lead to significant effects on the planet. This is very bad because the planet is all we have as humans and should it become uninhabitable, we would have nowhere to go.

Effects include:

 • Increased flooding - As sea levels rise due to the melting of entire masses of ice, there will be more flooding. Weather patterns changing to bring about more rainfall will also contribute to this.
 • Higher temperatures - The world is getting hotter by the year which is why recent years have been the hottest since humanity started keeping records. This trend is only scheduled to rise.
 • Stronger hurricanes - Warmer temperatures have been linked to the intensity and frequency of hurricanes which means that more land and property damage are still to come in future.
 • Droughts and Heat waves - Even though some areas will see a rise in rainfall, others will experience worse droughts and heat waves which will significantly reduce the chances of human survival in those areas.

For these reasons and more, climate change is undoubtedly out greatest threat now and immediate action is needed.
