The ability to survive is crucial to a a civilization's continuity. Evolution basically means to adapt or perish. Only the strong (in every possible aspect) adapt, and with those strengths they become more resilient. Resilience is an advantage when dealing with adversities such as unforseen disasters. Once one experiences them, it becomes part of their resilience - at least for the survivors.

Richard Nixon’s victory in the Election of 1968 was made possible by what shift in voting behaviors?
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer: B. White wage earners from both the North and South were increasingly voting Republican instead of Democrat

Explanation: Nixon campaigned on a platform designed to reach the majority of middle class and working class Americans from both the North and South. He promised to unify the country and many Americans, weary after years of antiwar and civil rights protests, looked forward to an era of peace.

The Democratic foreign policy didn't help matters as this had led to what appeared to be absolute futility and agony in Vietnam. The American people, desperate to find a way out of the Vietnam problem, were ready to give the Republican an opportunity to make good on his campaign promises.
