Mami might be telling that disobedience might lead to a situation of unpreparedness such like an attack from termites. If Negi won't be prepared although he has been told to be prepared, he will suffer the consequence.
Mami was cautious of the things that may happen and she makes some analysis on the things that may happen with a negative attitude.

Negi doesn't care about anything so he might encounter problems because of his disobedience.

Mami’s connection between Negi’s disobedience and the termites shows that Mami thinks ahead about situations of unpreparedness such as the attack from the termites. This might also show that Mami was cautious, and irritated (or looking at the situation with a negative attitude) that Negi got attacked by the termites by connecting it to Negi’s disobedience. Negi, on the other hand, was ignorant of the termites until Mami mentioned them. This shows that she was not paying very much attention to her surroundings, otherwise she might have avoided the termites. Negi also could have avoided the termites if she had been willing to help her mother rather than just her father.

lara [203]
Mr. Wiesel chooses not to go with Maria, but gives his family the choice. Elie and his sisters choose not to be separated from their parents.

When thinking about Mr. Wiesel, his choice not be separated from his community is not surprising. Elie describes his father in the very beginning of the book as more attentive to the community than to his family. This choice to keep the family together is also referenced later in the book when the family is forced to separate after getting off the train.

When I think about my family, I think my parents wouldn't have given me the choice. My father would probably have smuggled us out with the first chance and not waited. While he is an optimistic person, he does not trust that everyone has goodness. If we had to make a choice like Eliezer did, I would not have wanted to be separated from my parents. I would've been too afraid to face the unknown without them.

Complete each sentence by selecting the correct pronoun.
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

Denny and I love to ride our bikes around the park.

I is used when the person narrating is the subject of the sentence i.e. are the ones performing an action. As both Denny and the narrator are performing the act, they are both subjects and I should be used.

Both of us are planning to watch a superhero movie on Sunday.

Use the pronoun us when Both of has been written because it will then show that the action is being undertaken by the 2 people.

We can't go the pool now because they have closed.

Use they when referring to a noun that is the subject of the sentence in plural. The subject here would be the pool owners who would have closed.

what is the best description of the difference between explicit analysis and inferential analysis of a poem? one is related to t
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]
The correct answer is one is focused on concrete details in the text; the other is focused on ideas more subtly implied by the text

Explicit deals with details directly spoken, while inferential deals with infering, that is, some people incorrectly describe it as "what the author was trying to say".

Perhaps she warns her daughter not to step on a kernel of corn because the corn represents fertility and the kernels are part of the ritual.
