In this text how do the old lady and muffin come to daisy’s rescue how does daisy eventually return the favor for muffin what tr
bixtya [17]

Answer:

Muffin by Susan Cooper is a children's book about a young girl named Daisy living in England during World War II and how she was bullied.

Daisy was cornered by "Fat Alice", the ring leader, Pat and Maggie, her cronies on Monday morning. Maggie shoved Daisy against the rough fence and a splinter got into Daisy's arm.

Daisy was asked to walk the line and she couldn't do it properly because she was terrified, the three girls descended on her and began to pull her blonde braids and scrape her head against the asphalt.

The attack on Daisy was relentless and she tried fighting back but was unsuccessful because Mrs Walker saw her trying to kick at Fat Alice's knees and chided her, threatening to report to her teacher. That moment, an old lady and her dog walked in to defend Daisy stating that she wasn't at fault that she was only trying to defend herself from her attackers.

Daisy eventually went back to class and Mrs Walker didn't report her to her teacher. Daisy smuggled a piece of meat and on her way home, she stopped by at the old lady's house and asked if she could feed the muffin. The old lady answered in the affirmative.

The bullying in school continued for Daisy even after reporting to her teacher, she decided to ask for the old lady's help. The old lady welcomes her into her house, gives her tea and biscuits and promises to talk to her teacher about what she saw. However, a bomb hit the old lady's house and she was killed, but Muffin survived and Daisy started taking care of it.

The similar traits all three- The old lady, Muffin and Daisy- have in common is compassion and justice.

What,of this Goldfish, would you wish? What might a door or doorway symbolize? Why do you think the author uses this motif?
xxTIMURxx [149]

Answer:

A door or portal can symbolize a change, an opportunity. The author used this motif to show how all people need to want change at some point in their lives, even if they are not marterial changes.

Explanation:

"What, of this Goldfish, would you wish?" it is a story that shows how all people are not completely satisfied with their lives and are always willing to make requests that can improve them. These requests do not have to be material things, but they need to be things that promote happiness and well-being for each one. However, history asks us whether our desires should be considered greater than the desires of others and even greater and more important than the lives of others.

The census is an official count or survey of a population. The census occurs every 10 years and the last one took place in sprin
koban [17]

Answer:

As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, our nation gets just one chance each decade to count its population. The U.S. census counts every resident in the United States. It is mandated by Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution and takes place every 10 years. The data collected by the census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives (a process called apportionment) and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities.

The most recent census, the 2020 Census, required counting an increasingly diverse and growing population of around 330 million people in more than 140 million housing units. To get an accurate count, the Census Bureau had to build an accurate address list of every housing unit, maximize self-response to the census, and efficiently follow up with those who did not self-respond.

In the years leading up to 2020, we conducted research in four areas that focus on the major cost drivers of the census:

Using the Internet to increase self-response.

Using existing government data sources to answer census questions and reduce follow-up workload.

Automating operations to increase productivity and reduce staff and offices.

Using existing maps and address to reflect changes rather than walking every block in every neighborhood in the country.

The decennial census is the largest mobilization and operation conducted in the United States and requires years of research, planning, and development of methods and infrastructure to ensure an accurate and complete count.
