Answer:

B. in the long run

C. when the price is a large portion of your income

E. when many substitutes are available

G. when there are many competing firms selling similar goods

Explanation:

Elasticity of demand is the degree of responsiveness of change in quantity demand of a product if there is a change in price of the product.

The demand for a product is somewhat inelastic in the short run, but in the long run, demand is more elastic.

The reason is that consumers need more time to respond and adjust to the use of certain products.

Also, when the price is a large portion of your income, price becomes more elastic. The reason is that, an increase in price leads to a decrease in quantity demand.

When many substitutes are available, an increase in price will cause consumers to shift their demand for the substitute.

When there are many competing firms selling similar goods demand for a product becomes more elastic

Hi!

That's a funny one xD

The correct answer is A
Tell them you are busy now and suggest an alternative time to talk.

The other options are not good because if you just tell them you are bus now, you will lost the client. They will think you are not care for them. You can't tell them to make an appointment with your assistant because they want to talk with you,not the assistance. OMG always keeping the door closed is the worst xD. It shows that you don't welcomed people so you wouldn't have enough client.

I hope this helps!

Recently the United States imposed a 35% tariff on Chinese tire imports in hopes of sustaining U.S. Jobs in tire manufacturing.T
pogonyaev

Answer:

This is an example of increasing protectionism.

Explanation:

Protectionism can be defined as an economic policy under which the government of a country limits imports in order to protect the domestic economy. The government adopts a number of actions to protect domestic industries. Some of these measures are

  • Tariffs
  • Quotas
  • Subsidies
  • Product standards

In the given example, the imposition of a 35% tariff on the imports of tires from China indicates increasing protectionism. This tariff will increase the price of Chinese tires in the US market. As a result, the buyers will prefer the domestic tires which will be cheaper.

This will help the tire manufacturing industry by increasing its demand. So their production and employment will increase as well.
