Find the surface area of the cone

Mathematics
1 answer:
Mrac [35]3 years ago

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

slant height l =√(20²+(9/2)²)=√(400+81/4)=√(1681/4)=41/2

slant surface area=πrl

base area=πr²

Total surface area=πr²+πrl=πr(r+l)=π×(9/2)(9/2+41/2)=π×(9/2)×50/2=225π/2

=225×3.14/2

=225×1.57

=353.25 mm²

Andreyy89

Given: < WXZ = 90 degrees ( Right angle is an angle of 90 degree measure).

      m< WXV = 11 more than 3 times m< WXY = (3 * <WXY + 11)

      m< YXV = 139 degree.

To find : m<YXZ = ?

Solution : m< WXZ is equal to 90 degrees and is  also the sum of angles m<WXY and m<YXZ i.e.

          m< WXZ = 90 degrees = m<WXY + m<YXZ            -----(1)

           m< WXV = (3 * <WXY + 11)                       -----(2)

          m <YXV is equal to 139 degrees and also equal to the sum of angles m<WXY and m<WXV i.e.

          m <YXV = 139 degree = m<WXY + m<WXV            -----(3)

Substituting m< WXV = (3 * <WXY + 11) from equation (2) in equation (3)

         139 degree = m<WXY + m<WXV

      => 139 = m<WXY + 3 * m<WXY + 11  (Subtracting 11 from both sides)

      => 139 -11 =  m<WXY + 3 * m<WXY + 11 -11

      => 128 = 4<WXY                                      (Adding m<WXY + 3 * m<WXY)

      => 32  = < WXY                                      (Dividing both sides by 4)

Substituting  < WXY = 32 from above in equation (1)

      90 degrees = m<WXY + m<YXZ

      90 = 32 + m<YXZ                                (Subtracting 32 from both sides)

      90-32 = 32 + m<YXZ -32

      58 = m<YXZ.

Therefore, <YXZ =58 degrees.

PLEASE HELP
Gala2k [10]
First we have to determine a linear equation. We will take two points (0,900) and (1,850):
y=mx+b
900=m*0+b,   b=900
850=m*1+900
m=-50
Linear equation is:
y=-50x+900
Part A: y-interception is y=900 or(0,900).
It means that a car has to travel a distance of 900 miles to reach a final destination.
Part B:Average rate of change:\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} = \frac{750-850}{3-1}= \frac{-100}{2}=-50. It represents how many miles per one hour changes the distance from a destination.
Part C: Domain of this function if the car traveled the same rate until it reached its destination:
0=-50x+900
50x=900
x=900/50=18
Domain: x∈ [0, 18].

uysha [10]
The answer would be 92 by 92. Rectangular area only refers to the shape of the area. Squares are special types of rectangles.

368/4 equals 92.

I divided by 4 because a rectangle has four sides.
