Answer:

Dust in the Wind (sorry if I'm too late)

Explanation:

What does the wind carry, I wonder

As my gaze wanders amid the empty fields

Over to the silver arms gently rotating on their turrets.

Hopes and dreams, they seem to reply. Spinning ever so slowly and patiently, as if it is all they have ever done.

Hopes and dreams, they say. This is the birthplace of hopes and dreams. Of a single thought. Lighter than air itself.

They rise. Slowly. Out from the grass underneath my bare feet.

I hear their whispers. Feel their enchanting laughter.

So many wonderful dreams.

And the windmills turn still, beacons of hope against a clear blue sky.

Then the Wind rises.

And the dreams are carried aloft in the eve'ning breeze.

I mourn. My heart fills with longing, for I can never be as free as they.

Lighter than the air itself, they are uplifted gently by the gentle treading arms. And then, in a great rush.

They are dispersed. Thousands upon millions of hopes and dreams... scattered around the world for the lost and lonely hearts.

Like dust in the wind.

Answer:

Traveling, traveling,

down the road.

As I look outside

at the cliff below.

Windmills flowing

turning around

on the small narrow road

we're traveling on.

When will we get there

I wonder with glee

Then I see the mountains in the distance

a dot as small as a flea.

Which quote from the story best supports the idea that Lena wants Sammy to believe he is contributing to the family?
slavikrds [6]

Hello. You did not enter the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

It is only possible to identify the quote you need, reading each quote, however, as you want a quote where Lena convinces Sammy that he is contributing to the family, we must consider that the correct answer is the quote where Lenna presents the good things that Sammy did for the family and how it has helped the family in different situations. You should look for the quote that looks something like this, to answer that question.

the subject of love in the poem "ashes of night", is an example of which poetic device? simile, metaphor, hyperbole or personifi
Dmitry [639]
I think the poem in question is actually "Ashes of Life" by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

If your question pertains to the subject of the poem as a whole, I believe the correct answer to your question is B. metaphor.

Metaphor means that a thing is not to be regarded in its literal sense, but as representative of something else. In this case, there are no ashes in the poem. But they are a metaphor of what's left of her life now that her beloved has abandoned her. We can also take this as an example of imagery, suggesting that she was burning with love, and now only ashes have remained.

However, if you take a closer look at some of the lines, such as "<span>Love has gone and left me", it is a personification - giving human attributes to animals, abstract notions, or non-living things.</span>

What role does the bolded pronoun serve in the following sentence?
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

The bolded pronoun (in this case, YOU) addresses the other person. The role it takes on would be acknowledging a specific person. It makes the sentence seem like a favor, by asking someone to go to a party in that way.

What the answer question now
Jobisdone [24]

Answer: logos

Explanation:

Ethos refers to an appeal to ethics. This is when an individual is convinced based on the credibility of the person persuading him or her.

Pathos refers to the appeal to emotion, which is when an audience is convinced by creating an emotional response.

Logos is an appeal to logic. This is gwn an audience is persuaded by giving them reasons. In this case, "Live longer, buckle up" is a logos. If one doesn't use the seat belt and is involved in an accident, the person may die but using a seatbelt can help prevent death.
