Lupita is a software engineer. She just found out that if she wants to keep her job, she is going to have to learn an entirely n

ew coding system. This will take her many months to learn. If Lupita is trying to build a "liquid" career instead of a "cement" career, how would she react? This is completely unfair—I shouldn't have to change when I'm good at my job. Learning something new will be hard, but it will make me more valuable in my career. I'm going to lose this job—I'm the worst at learning new stuff. They can train someone else if they want, but I don't need to learn that.

<u>Answer:</u>

<em>"Learning something new will be hard, but it will make me more valuable in my career". </em>

<em></em>

<u>Explanation:</u>

Lupita is a software engineer and when she was asked to learn something new, she was ready to do so. She understood that learning something will be tough initially, but later on it will yield better results which will be helpful in making a liquid as well as a cement career for her. It will become valuable for her in the long run. Even if months would take she will eventually learn something which will be beneficial for her.

A "liquid" career is a career that is capable of going with the flow. A "cement" career is hard as a rock and incapable of change.

Therefore, if Lupita is trying to build a liquid career, she would react to this news by saying: "Learning something new will be hard, but it will make me more valuable in my career."
