Women.

The Fifteenth Amendment, enacted in 1870, granted African Americans men the right to vote for the first time in American history, by establishing that the rights of U.S. citizens to vote must not be denied or abridged on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. It was one of the many first steps to legally stop discrimination in the nation. However, America would still have a long way to go to fully accomplish that, even after the 19th Amendment which expanded the right to vote for women.

What was the Soviet Union's plan for Germany, which differed greatly from the United State's plans, after World War II ended? Gr
amm1812

The plan of USSR was:

TO divide Germany to prevent it from waging war again.

Explanation:

The policy of the USSR was to divide Germany into pieces so that it would never wage wars again. Obviously, that was only the surface reasons given by the soviets.

The true reason was rather self serving.

 • The part of the East that Russia eventually got was to serve as the buffer for their territory and Europe.
 • They had a foothold in mainland Europe.
 • The state was Russian in all but name. They had complete control.

These were the reasons that made Russia come to the conclusion it did.

Which best describes what many immigrants encountered in US cities in the early 1800s? spacious and clean apartment buildings cr
victus00 [196]

Answer:

Crowded and unsafe living conditions.

Explanation:

Most immigrants in the early 1800s would probably be very poor, especially after spending the money to travel to an entirely new country. Most immigrants were probably escaping from corrupt governments, looking for religious freedom, or simply wanting a fresh start. They mostly travelled in big groups, either families or neighbors or small communities, and because of this, their housing was probably cramped, run down, and very quickly and poorly built to account for this influx of new people pouring into the US.
