Write an essay that compares and contrasts "The Nose" by Nikolai Gogol to another magical realist story, focusing mainly on the

tone of the two stories. How does their tone differ? What does their tone have in common? Your second story should be one that you find through research, but make sure it fits the magical realist genre. Look back over the lesson and ask yourself if it has the appropriate tone and subject matter. Consider what evidence from both stories best supports your claim (or thesis), and make sure you present this evidence in the form of quotes and paraphrases. Also make sure you avoid plagiarism. Your essay should include the following elements: A claim that explains how you're comparing and contrasting your two stories in the essay An introduction paragraph that grabs the reader's attention, gives background information, and presents the claim Body paragraphs that give reasons and evidence for why readers should believe your claim Evidence in the form of quotes and paraphrases from both stories A conclusion paragraph that reminds readers of your claim and reasons, and leaves readers with a lasting impression

Answer:

Sometimes referred to as the “Second War of Independence,” the War of 1812 was the first large scale test of the American republic on the world stage. With the British Navy impressing American sailors, and the British government aiding Native American tribes in their attacks on American citizens on the frontier, Congress, for the first time in our nation’s history, declared war on a foreign nation: Great Britain. Battles raged on the high seas. British soldiers invaded American soil, captured Washington D.C., and even burned the White House. In the end the Star-Spangled Banner waved “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Explore the battlefields and personalities of this critical time in American history.

uses characters to represent real people or abstract ideas

Explanation:

Allegory is a figure of speech that proposes to add symbolism and subjectivity to a text, requiring the reader to interpret what is being presented in order to understand a message. What similes can i use to describe a haunted house
prisoha [69]
There are a lot of different similes that could be used to describe a haunted house. For example, the haunted house was dark as midnight, as cold as an arctic winter, as quiet as a desert. Similes are words used to describe something being like something else, rather than there being a straight comparison.

kari74 [83]
I think the topic of the both of them relates on what is the point or the theme of the book. Jem says that there are four kinds of folks, this one refers to the category of all the characters in the book and what Scout says refers the origin of every kind of characters that is in the book. Both of them correlates with each other.
