The name of the first child born to the executor of the will of the man considered the father of humanism was Francesco Petrarca, better known in the world as Petrarch.

He grew up in Italy but studied in France, in the city of the popes called Avignon. He is seen as the father of humanism because of many books and poems that he wrote throughout his travels in Europe, where he discovered important texts to made historical work.

Further explanation

Humanism is a current of thought that was very popular in Europe during the Renaissance, between the fourteenth and the sixteenth century. Humanists lived by drawing inspiration from ancient Christian texts. They rejected the world which they said was too far from religion, and full of sins everywhere. Petrarch is known for his criticism of French and Italian religious leaders, whom he mocked in his texts. He is also known to have discovered valuable historical documents such as old letters from Cicero, the great Roman politician, and writer.

His most famous work is entitled 'Canzoniere'. It is a collection of poems in honor of Laure, the woman whom he loved. This book is considered the most beautiful humanist text, written with a modern language, understandable by all, but faithful to a purely religious belief.

Describe how one of Thomas Edison's inventions changed American life?
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Thomas Edison's invention of the light bulb changed American life tremendously. Thomas Edison was known for inventing what is called the light bulb, and that made a huge impact to have Americans live on a daily basis. Americans had a hard time seeing things in the dark, which caused a lot of complications when it comes to completing tasks or just going through and out buildings. Because of this invention, Americans could easily see things when inside a house, building, and when it's night time. The light bulb gave light so people can do tasks without having to do them in the dark. Without the light bulb, it would be very complicated to do things in the dark, and people would have a hard time going through the night or dark places.

astraxan [27]
Rome treated the people of the conquered land with same privileges as their own people. The senators of the conquered land were given all the facilities received by the Roman senators. The people slowly absorbed the Roman culture and so the chance of further rebellion reduced greatly. The general people were given the opportunity to watch and play lavish games and were also given equal share of food as the other general Roman people. The Italians were won over by the Romans in the same way.
