State government have greater impact on our lives than federal government.

Explanation:

We are far more likely to deal with state agents than federal agents in our daily lives. Local government maintains our roads, decide where to zone the markets/malls, decide local tax rate and many more.

State government is responsible for creating state legislation that can become a state law.

They are also responsible for deciding and approving the state budget. The Constitution of the United States established the federal system.
