The colonist were very upset so what they did was sneak on some ships and sailed into the Boston harbor where they took many chests full of tea and dumped them into the harbor. This was a stand of boycotting. The king heard about the news and stopped his taxes. And then the tea act started removing taxes from all goods sent to the colonist by the British.
