Read this sentence from paragraph 9 from “The Problem That Has No Name” and answer the question. I have heard so many women try

to deny this dissatisfied voice within themselves because it does not fit the pretty picture of femininity that experts have given them. Which sentence best supports the idea that women’s feelings of extreme dissatisfaction should not be ignored? They had no thought for the “unfeminine problems” of the world outside the home; they wanted the men to make the major decisions. Since the time when they had begun contributing to the workforce in large numbers, women found it difficult to readjust to lives as mere housewives. Perhaps the cause of human suffering has not been found because the right questions have not been asked or debated enough. These women are very “feminine” in the usual sense, and yet they still suffer the problem.

Answer:

Perhaps the cause of human suffering has not been found because the right questions have not been asked or debated enough.

Explanation:

This is the sentence that best expresses the idea that women's feelings of extreme dissatisfaction should not be ignored. In the passage, the author states that many women feel dissatisfied with their lives, but do not want to express it because they are scared of appearing unfeminine. The sentence explains how this is damaging to society. If the problem continues to be ignored, no one will be able to ask the right questions, and more importantly, no one will be able to find the cause of human suffering.

What us the effect of the metaphor from. The poem can't by Edgar guest can't is The word that is for to ambition
KATRIN_1 [288]

This question is incomplete. Here is the complete question:

What is the effect of the metaphor from the poem "Can't" by Edgar Guest?

Can't is the word that is foe to ambition

An enemy ambushed to shatter your will...

.It helps the reader understand that when you do not believe in yourself, you will not set goals.

.It helps the reader understand just how terrifying the word really is.

.It helps the reader understand how to fight and battle against the mindset that you can't achieve your goals.

.It helps the reader understand that parents are more likely to use the word than their children.

Answer:

The correct answer is It helps the reader understand that when you do not believe in yourself, you will not set goals.

Explanation:

This poem by <em>Edgar Albert Guest</em> clearly demonstrates how <u>our success depends on ourselves</u>, and how self-convincing with <em>"I can't"</em> leads us to failure.

It talks about the word "can't" as an enemy of ambition, and that it is just what it is. Someone who says to himself <em>"I can't"</em> does not prove to have much ambition in life, otherwise he would try until he got what he wanted.

Mentioning this, even the last words of the poem are:

<em>Whatever the goal you are seeking, keep trying </em>

<em>And answer this demon by saying: "I can." </em>

Which leads us to the conclusion that the correct answer is It helps the reader understand that when you do not believe in yourself, you will not set goals.
