Answer:

Option A. The combined sentence uses a compound verb.

Explanation:

In grammar, a compound verb is known as a verb that is made up using multiple words, more spceifically by joining a verb with a preposition or an adverb. In the case of the combined sentence "The would travel to the southern tip of South America and fly from there to the American antarctic outpost" there are two compound verbs being used, one being "travel to" and the other being "fly from".

melamori03 [73]

You forgot to say that this question is about "Ode on a Grecian urn", by Keats.

Answer:

This verse can express that the urn has the capacity to tell a better story and in a more delicate and sensitive way than a poet.

Explanation:

In the line "A flowery tale more sweetly than our rhyme" the poet is extolling the urn's ability to tell the stories he knows and keeps in a beautiful, delicate and sensitive way. This ability is greater than the ability of the poets and the urn does not need rhymes, or any other device, because this ability reflects what it is and is therefore exercised without any effort, but with grace and lightness, being compared to a flower.

1. In a response of no fewer than two paragraphs, discuss the theme of Sara Teasdale's "Barter" and the poetic devices she uses
vitfil [10]
Barter tries to convince the reader that there is beauty in life. All of the similes and metaphors used in the poem illustrate this. "Music like a curve of gold," "Blue waves whitened on a cliff," "Holding wonder like a cup," "one white singing hour of peace" all serve as examples for the beauty that can be found in simple moments and sensations.
