Zlata's Diary, written by Zlata Filipovic, is a book whose historical context is the Bosnian war. The main location is represented by Sarajevo, and Zlata started to write her diary when she was in fifth grade.

Zlata's Diary is based on Zlata´s daily chronicles, and how the war massively  impacts Sarajevo, her city.

The diary contains countless scenes to portray the horrors of war viewed from the innocence of a child.
