Why were most buildings in mesopotamia built with sun-dried bricks? furthermore, how come only a small portion of buildings were

made of wood?

The bricks were made of mud that were easily available around the city. They were sun baked to make them hard. Wood was not readily available in some cities of Sumer. Cedar had to be imported from Lebanan.
