Do a writing with 100 words starting with the sentence: Mum knew that I had been fighting, and wanted to know what had happened.
DENIUS [597]
Mum knew that I had been fighting, and wanted to know what had happened. I froze. My heart flew out of my chest as icy shivers dripped down my face, she could never know the truth, it would kill her. Little did she know I was only trying to protect her, she couldn’t know that everyone knew her biggest secret, it would consume her, make her vanish from existence. As much as I love my mum, I would never follow in her ways, the twisted secrets and broken friendships, it was not a good way to live, but I guess it was her way.

I’m not sure if you’ll like it or what year/grade your in do what’s appropriate but I hope it helps :)

Which of the following is a theme from Romeo and Juliet? (10 points)
viva [34]

Answer:

Using deception to get what you want is risky.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Ju liet" was and is still one of the most tragic yet romantic stories that present the theme of love. It presents the loyal and faithful love of the two lovebirds who chose love over their family's feud, choosing their happiness over that of the family's.

But despite the ever-enduring and powerful influence of love on a person, it also presents a fateful side of this type of love. While it was so romantic and powerful for Romeo and Ju liet to cling to their love and not let their family problem come in the way, they still did wrong in deceiving their families about the way they carried on with their love. And through their deceptive act of hiding their marriage and love from their respective families, their families (nonetheless unaware of the events) moved forward with their own plans. This ended tragically for both lovers, which is why deception is a risky and possibly wrong way of getting things done.

Thus, the correct answer is the third option.

1. We can wait for Carl, or we can go ahead.
Sedbober [7]

The first sentence can be classified as compound, while the second sentence can be classified as simple.

What is the difference between a compound and a simple sentence?

A simple sentence contains only one clause, while a compound sentence contains two or more clauses linked by words such as and, or, but, etc.

How can the sentences be classified?

The first sentence is a compound one:

 • "We can wait for Carl(first clause), or we can go ahead (second clause)"

But the second sentence contains only one clause, which makes it a simple sentence.

Note: This question is incomplete; here is the missing part:

 • Classify the sentences as simple or compound.
