which role did the invasion of william the conqueror play in the development of a national identity for england
sergiy2304 [10]

I believe the answer is: William the Conqueror took control of most of England's lands and, eventually, a set of common laws was established for all Englishmen.

Laws would force people to a certain standard, regarding the things that they are allowed and not allowed to do within the society. He saw establishing common laws for all englishmen would establish a similar set of principles among his people and very important in developing one national identiy that separate them from other civilizations at that time.

Briefly discuss what led to the rule of the ""Thirty Tyrants"" and the effect this rule had on Athens.
hoa [83]

Taking into account the statement above: "Briefly discuss what led to the rule of the ""Thirty Tyrants"" and the effect this rule had on Athens."

The Thirty Tyrants reduced the rights of the Athenian citizens in order to institute an oligarchical regime. Led by Critias, "the Thirty Tyrants" presided over a reign of terror in which they executed, murdered, and exiled hundreds of Athenians, seizing their possessions afterward.

Hope this helps.

Upon reading NY Times Article: "Democracy in America: How Is It Doing?" and watching the clip (clean, classroom edit) below from
san4es73 [151]

I do not think so.

In my opinion, the foreign policy of the current US government has diminished the country's relative importance to the world. The United States has always been considered the country of freedom and the American dream. However, the sense of freedom has diminished before the preaching of nationalism. Anyway, I believe it is possible that the US will once again be the best country in the world. Governments and their policies are transient, we have a solid democracy and our culture is still hegemonic.
