This poem is about a southerner moving to the north and learning to enjoy the change in enviorment.  "Someone from the south and talks about how at first they'll love the north and the winter times but then it'll become bland and you'll start to miss home, but then in the spring the warmth and niceness of the climate and the people will make you love the north."
