The rectus abdominus bends the spine downward and also add an extra layer of protection for the frog's internal organs. The prectoralis major are responsible for moving the arms at the shoulders. These muscles are used by the frog to hold and push their chest and head off the ground. The external obliques pull the spin so the frog's upper body can twist. This allows the frog to steer while swimming. The adductor magnus holds the thighs closer together. Satorious allows the lower leg to kick out.
