Suppose that after you study some of the great artists of modern times such as Henri Matisse, Wassily Kandinsky, and Pablo Picas

so, you take your friends to the art museum to expose them to what you've learned. You walk through the Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassic, Romantic, and Realist exhibition rooms first. Then you head to the Fauve, Expressionist, and Cubist rooms. Your friends are shocked. One friend sees a Matisse and responds, "That's not good art!" Another claims, "My little brother could do better than that," when viewing a Kandinsky. And another says about a Picasso Analytical Cubism piece, "That's just ugly."

Images of Jesus was not there in the old testament.

Explanation:

The main characteristics of Reformation art sprang from Protestant theology which focused on the individual relationship between the worshiper and God. This emphasis was reflected in the number of common people and ordinary everyday scenes that were portrayed in Protestant art.

In the old testament it is said that Jesus first appeared in the form of Angel and there were no exact images of Jesus Christ prescribed in The old testament.

Consider this painting entitled great fish-market by Bruegel
lbvjy [14]

Brueghel's Great Fish-Market, dating back from the year 1603, comprises many elements of Mannerist landscape painting. Presented in a panorama view, the picture opens up across a downward-sloping foreground overflowing with tens of people grouped around the stalls and booths of a fish market, with a beautiful blue sky in the background, that merges with the sea.
