Answer: Men are, well, just not as tidy as women.

An ethos is a guiding principle, or founding belief. In the case of this text, the main belief that is defended is the fact that women are tidier than men. The research conducted supports this theory because of the different bacteria counts that were found in women's workspaces versus those of men.
