Answer:

After the moment of farewell, the house would seem empty and incomplete. Something was missing, youthfulness, security, balance and peace were lacking. The house seemed to be at all times with a heavy atmosphere, as if a concern hung in the air at all times, without promoting rest and comfort, losing the meaning of home and becoming something in which agony, anxiety and fear were constant.

Explanation:

A man who sends his son or daughter to war is in constant worry and agony, afraid of the situations that the child may face and this means that the father does not have emotional distress even within his home. It was this thought that I included in the description of the house above.
