it is given in the question that

Alpha printing will make 400 brochures for $100. Omega printing will make 1,000 brochures for $100.

For Alpha, cost of 1 brochure is

= \frac{100}{400} = $0.25

For Omega,

Cost of 1 brochure is

= \frac{100}{1000} = 0.10

So choosing Omega printing, you will save

= 0.25-0.10 = $0.15

on each brochure .

Answer:

  • 523 grams
  • 52 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the initial amount, put 0 where t is in the formula and do the arithmetic.

  A(0) = 523(1/2)^0 = 523(1) = 523

The initial amount is 523 grams.

__

To find the amount remaining after 100 years, put 100 where t is in the formula and do the arithmetic.

  A(100) = 523(1/2)^(100/30) ≈ 523(0.0992123) ≈ 52

About 52 grams will remain after 100 years.

Find the altitude of an isosceles triangle with a vertex angle of 70° and a base of 246
Neporo4naja [7]
The base angles are both equal to (180-70) / 2 =  55 degrees

and 1/2 base = 123

so we have tan 55 =  a / 123  where a = altitude
a = 123 * tan55 =  175.66

The odds against Carl beating his friend in a round of golf are 9:7. Find the probability that Carl will lose?
grandymaker [24]

The ratio 9:7 gives you following statement:

  • Carl will win in 9 cases from 9+7=16;
  • Carl will lose in 7 cases from 16.

Then the probability that Carl will lose is

Pr(\text{Carl will lose})=\dfrac{7}{16}.

Answer: Pr(\text{Carl will lose})=\dfrac{7}{16}.
