The novels The Maze Runner and The 5th Wave both have the theme of survival. They both surround(focus on) a select group of kids that have leaders with big decisions to make. The Maze runner has to escape a "prison/test" to survive. In the 5th Wave the characters are trying to survive what they think is an alien invasion. Its set in a more apocalyptic setting.

A way you can tell if a problem is big or small is how bad the problem is for example if you got into a car crash that’s a big problem
but if you dropped a can of soda that’s a small problem
a way you can tell if you need help is again the example with the car crash you need help with that so you call the police
if you dropped the soda you can clean it yourself
if the problem is small enough you’ll know like forgetting to clean a dish or fork that’s a problem you can let go

Which sentence/phrase is BEST to cite for author's word choices that suggest positive connotations?
trasher [3.6K]

I believe the answer is: C)

Hiawatha...was probably based on a real person, a peaceful hero who helped to unite the Iroquois people hundreds of years ago.

This is because since a connotation means an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning, and the history behind "Hiawatha" that is shown above is about a good event. Therefore a positive connotation.
