How does each child try to help the parents in the glass castle? 5 sentences minimum

English

In The Glass Castle, the Walls family consists of four children. The oldest one is <em>Lori</em>, who often teams up with Jeanette to help the family. She tries to help them by being realistic, and trying to see the world as it really is. The second one is <em>Jeanette</em>, the main character in the story. Jeanette's most important contribution to the family is the fact that she never loses faith in them, so she is the glue that holds them together. This is particularly important in the case of her father.

<em>Brian</em> is the next child, and he is a great defender of his sisters. He is also the most honest one about the parent's shortcomings. Because of this, he is able to bring some reality into their lives, and he is able to remain more distant from the chaos. Finally, <em>Maureen</em> is the one who reflects what a chaotic childhood can cause on a child. She is more affected mentally and spiritually by her upbringing, in contrast with her siblings. She is also the one who seems to contribute the least to the family's stability.

The answers would be:

The fast pacing highlights exciting events to keep the reader’s attention.

The fast pacing indicates that the story is moving toward a key event in the text.

Fast pacing focuses more on action than on scenery description and details. In the excerpt, information is provided succinctly in order to further the story quickly. There is no development of the three months it took the pigs to learn how to read and write, for instance. It is only mentioned briefly (highlighted) so as to explain another key event: the renaming of the farm. The characters are not described in detail as well. The information about Snowball being the best writer is also given concisely.

Which aspects of a story beat helps the reader understand the authors purpose? check all that apply.
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

\boxed{\bold{Imagery, \ Repetition, \ Tone}}

Explanation:

Question: "<em>Which aspects of a story beat helps the reader understand the author's purpose?</em>"

Answers: Imagery, Repetition, Tone

Imagery: Imagery creates a visual image in the readers head. The image creates a scene or plot, making the reader understand the plot line and story better.

Repetition: Repetition in a story helps the reader understand the author's point because the point is repeatedly getting introduced or pt on the spotlight. This helps the reader know that the author wants them to focus on this specific thing.

Tone: Tone helps the reader understand the author's point because the author will write in a certain way, creating specific tone and dialogue for the reader.
