Explanation:

Increased concentrations of carbon dioxide in atmosphere has led to more absorption of the gas by oceanic water. When dissolved in water, carbon dioxide has forms carbonic acid. Hence, increased carbon dioxide concentrations in air is making the oceans more acidic in nature. Increased acidity of oceans would adversely affect the aquatic life.
