LuckyWell [14K]

People thought the Catholic Church was corrupt in the middle ages influenced by Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation, which was against measures taken by the church, such as the payment of indulgences.

Protestant Reformation

It took place in the 16th century in the Christian Church, led by Monk Martin Luther who was against the corrupt events that took place in the Catholic Church, such as papal authority and the sale of indulgences to accumulate wealth in the church.

How does dr. king propose that we "put an end to the chain of violence"?
Sergio039 [100]
I may not be correct but I believe that Martin Luther King implied that if they were to protest with violent it would only result in more violence as a retaliation by the government. So by doing peaceful protest the government didnt have an actual solid reason to attack them, so when the government did enact violence on them it caught the attention of people around the world.
