Three examples of humour in Chapter five of the great Gatsby are;
- Gatsby tells Daisy about his long nights spent outside, staring at the green light at the end of her dock, dreaming about their future happiness.
- Nick tells Gatsby that he will help him with the plan. Overjoyed, Gatsby immediately offers to have someone cut Nick’s grass.
- Daisy arrives, but when Nick brings her into the house, he finds that Gatsby has suddenly disappeared.

Doctors warned people to stay away from the medical tent where patients were being treated in order to avoid contagion because being close or in contact with infected patients can spread the infection and more will suffer from diseases. At the same time, people should stay away from the patients because, their immunity is weak, and they could also acquire more infection from those people outside.

The woods might symbolize a place to test your willpower, but it could also symbolize the unexplored or unknown, and the forgotten. I would make this comparison because the forests often are associated with being lost. Also in a society full of technology, it could be easy for a human to disregard the complexity and beauty of nature, causing it to become an unknown, unexplored and a forgotten place. Woods are also a harsh place to live and survive using survival skills thus testing your willpower to survive. Forests are also vast and diverse, making them easy to get lost in.
These are things that I believe the woods symbolize.
