So the goal here is to find the value of "w". The first thing you must do is transpose the number 9 to the side of -7 and it would look like this, 4w = -7 - 9. Change the positive sign of the number 9 to negative when you transpose. Then, the equation will be simplified and it will look like this, 4w = -16. Then lastly, to get the value of "w", you must divide the equation to 4 and it will be like this,
4w = -16    so you will get the answer w = -4. I hope this helps you

Alex drew a shape that belongs to both the category of rhombuses and the category of rectangles.
irinina [24]

Answer:

Below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A No. That's not the most specific shape.

Quadrilaterals can be many shapes regular and irregular.

Part B. A rectangle and a rhombus are both types of parallelogram which has 2 pairs of parallel sides. A rectangle and a rhombus are 2 specific types of parallelogram.

In the case of a rectangle it is a parallelogram with 4 right angles and a rhombus is a parallelogram with all sides equal in length,

Somebody help me finish this please
Sauron [17]

x^2 = -25

there is a solution if you know imaginary numbers

if you do not stop now and say no solution

else

take the square root

x = sqrt (-25)

x =sqrt(-1) sqrt(25)

x=+- 5i

x = 5i, -5i

x^2 =18

take the square root of each side

x =+-sqrt(18)

x=+- sqrt(9)sqrt(2)

x=+- 3sqrt(2)

x=3sqrt(2), -3sqrt(2)

What is the equation of the line that passes
through the points (3,-1) and (7, 3)?
exis [7]

Answer: y = 1x + -4

Equation of a straight line:

y = mx + b ------(i)

Step by Step Solution:

Step 1: Calculating Slope (m).

m = y2-y1 /x2-x1

m = 3--1 /7-3

m = 4/4

m = 1

Now putting value of m in equation (i)

y = 1x + b -----(ii)

Step 2: Calculating Y-intercept (b).

Lets choose the first point, (3,-1) for calculating y-intercept:

y = mx + b

-1 = 1(3) + b

-1 = 3 + b

-4 = b

b = -4

Now putting value of b in equation (ii)

y = 1x + -4
